With nearly three decades in the classroom, Tara Zaring brings both deep expertise and a heart for students to her work as a Certified Language Therapist. After retiring from a successful career at Keller ISD, Tara now focuses on providing private, prescriptive dyslexia therapy using Orton-Gillingham practices. She is highly trained in the MTA and Take Flight programs, having received her credentials from the June Shelton School and Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children in Dallas, Tx. Tara is a member of ALTA (Academic Language Therapy Association), the International Dyslexia Association, and the Dallas Branch of IDA.
When she isn’t helping students unlock the gift of reading, Tara stays busy with her family. She has been married for 38 years and is a proud grandmother to seven (soon to be nine!) grandchildren. She is also an active member of her church music ministry, where she plays the flute in the orchestra and teaches preschool children to share their voices in the "Preschool Praise" class.
